The Women’s Club presents Women in Wine, an epicurean delight of food and wine, showcasing female wine-crafters from NSW and other Australian wine regions. On Monday 16 May, Bridget Raffal will facilitate a conversation and wine pairing with winemaker Tessa Brown and sommelier Jacqueline Turner over a five course dinner created and prepared by TWC Head Chef Martin Teplitzky.

Tessa Brown, viticulturist, winemaker and co-owner of Vignerons Schmölzer & Brown in Beechworth, north east Victoria, Bridget Raffal, co-founder and President of Women and Revolution, Vice President of Sommelier’s Australia, and Beverage Director at Where’s Nick Wine Bar, and Jacqueline Turner, Sommelier, Treasurer of President of Women and Revolution, Sales and Marketing for Mac Forbes, Sommelier at Margaret Restaurant.
According to P&V Wine Merchants, roughly half of those graduating with wine degrees in Australia are women, but once these bright females enter the workforce, they’re much harder to find. Only one in ten employed in Aussie viticulture and winemaking roles are female.
Women and Revolution (WaR), an inclusive network for women in the wine industry. With the primary objective to grow the next generation of women in wine, the all-women association provides an inclusive space that encourages professional and personal growth, building community and connection.
