We are pleased to welcome Helen Trinca as our guest speaker for the August Club Lunch. A highly respected journalist and author, Helen is the Associate Editor of The Australian and a long-time commentator on Australian business, workplace culture, and social issues. Over her distinguished career, she has held senior editorial roles and co-authored several acclaimed books.
Speaker Biography
Helen Trinca grew up in Perth and moved to Sydney in 1980. She is a highly experienced reporter, commentator and editor with a special interest in workplace and broad cultural issues. Helen has held senior positions at The Australian, including deputy editor, managing editor, European correspondent and editor of The Weekend Australian Magazine.
Helen has co-authored two books on work and industrial issues: Waterfront: The Battle That Changed Australia (with Anne Davies) (Random House, 2000); and Better than Sex: How a Whole Generation Got Hooked on Work (with Catherine Fox) (Random House, 2004). She is the author of the biography Madeleine: A Life of Madeleine St John (Text Publishing, 2013). Helen Trinca's biography of Madeleine St John was co-winner of the Prime Minister's Prize for Non-fiction in 2014.
