Soledad serves as the Trade Commissioner of Peru in Australia, a role in which she fosters and promotes economic, commercial, and investment ties between our two countries. With a distinguished career in international trade and diplomacy, Soledad brings a wealth of experience and insight into Peru’s dynamic economy and global partnerships. We look forward to hearing her perspectives on building cross-cultural business connections and the opportunities that lie ahead for Australian–Peruvian collaboration.
Speaker Biography
Soledad Campos de Parry, is a prominent leader in international trade, investment, and tourism, currently serving as the Trade Commissioner of Peru to Australia. With over two decades of experience, she aims to strengthen Peru's economic and cultural ties with Australia and New Zealand.
Educated at International University of La Rioja and University College London, Sol has established the first Peruvian Trade Office in Mexico and has managed offices in Canada, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia, focusing on industries emphasising sustainability and innovation.
Her leadership at PROMPERU and experience in the Andean Community and Central American Integration System have been crucial in promoting Peru’s cultural and tourism sectors. Recognised for her initiatives, Sol has showcased Peruvian arts globally and has received accolades such as the Bentham Scholarship. A supporter of women in trade, she has led efforts to boost Peru’s international profile through trade fairs and partnerships, driving foreign investment and economic growth.
