The Women's Club is pleased to invite you to join us for a very special event to celebrate International Women's Day on Friday 10 March from 5:45 pm. UN Women Australia’s International Women’s Day theme for 2023 is "Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future," and we are thrilled to welcome Viktoriya Butler as our keynote speaker. Viktoriya Butler will give a five-minute overview of this year's theme to set the tone for the evening.
Viktoriya Butler is an accomplished professional who has dedicated more than 25 years of her career to Optus. After graduating with a B. Economics from Sydney University, she began her journey as a graduate at Optus, where she has since flourished in various divisions.
Today, Viktoriya serves as a Director of the CIO Office and a member of the IT leadership team, reporting directly to the CIO. In this capacity, she is accountable for IT business operations and communication, which is a testament to her extensive experience and expertise in the field.
Viktoriya has made significant contributions to Optus, including leading the implementation of a new technology operating model. Her leadership and strategic vision have transformed how Group IT supports Optus in realising its vision of becoming Australia's most loved everyday brand with lasting customer relationships.
Throughout her career at Optus, Viktoriya has enjoyed countless opportunities for growth and development. Her passion for innovation, diversity, and inclusion has been a driving force behind her many achievements, and she is a true inspiration to her colleagues and peers.
With her wealth of experience and knowledge, Viktoriya is a valued member of the Optus community and an excellent role model for aspiring professionals in the IT industry. Viktoriya is also a proud TWC member.
The event will be held in the Jefferson dinner concept format, designed to encourage lively and meaningful discussion among attendees. The idea is to gather around small tables with a diverse group of individuals and engage in a thoughtful conversation about the topic of the evening.
This year's cocktail event promises to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with other inspiring people, share ideas, and explore the many ways we can choose to challenge gender bias and inequality in our communities, workplaces, and beyond. We encourage you to bring your friends and colleagues to this event to join us in this important conversation.
The Women's Club is a community of women from diverse backgrounds and professions, dedicated to promoting gender equality, diversity, and inclusion. We are passionate about creating a world where every woman has the opportunity to thrive, and we believe that events like this one are critical in achieving that vision.
