About Dr Miah Hammond-Errey
Dr. Miah Hammond-Errey, currently the Director of the Emerging Technology Program at the United States Studies Centre, will share her extensive knowledge and insights on cybersecurity, privacy, intelligence, and data. With more than fifteen years of experience leading analytical and communications activities for the Australian Government across Australia, Europe, and Asia, Dr. Hammond-Errey possesses an unmatched understanding of the intersection between technology and national security.
During her career, she has led critical research, taught emerging leaders, and published numerous pieces on national security, technology, intelligence, and information warfare. She was also a senior analyst at the prestigious Australian Strategic Policy Institute.
Eagerly anticipating her forthcoming book (2023) that delves into the impact of big data on intelligence production and national security in Australia, Dr. Hammond-Errey is a frequent voice on these subjects in her role as a podcast host on "Technology & Security". A distinguished alumna of Deakin University, Australian National University, and Sydney University, she has been the recipient of numerous scholarships, grants, and awards in recognition of her significant contributions to the field.
