Details:
The Women's Club is thrilled to announce the revival of our celebrated Women in Music program: a celebration of the incredible contributions of women to the world of music, with a special emphasis on Australian music.
We are delighted to present Women in Music event in November in collaboration with UNSW. Two to three performers will join us in a curated performance.
Ofri Einav
Ofri is a Sydney-based singer-songwriter whose direct and unashamedly candid lyrics and intricate piano-vocal arrangements come together to form a particular (and peculiar) brand of chamber folk. Perhaps even more immediately noticeable than her frankness is her voice, a wild thing which can inhabit every colour of expression, from raw emotionality to heartfelt delicacy with every shade in-between. Particularly influenced by Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, and Weyes Blood, her assured confidence and those idiosyncrasies of a voice well-worn imbue her songwriting with a richness and clarity of concept.
Emma Korell
Based in Sydney, Emma is a contemporary classical saxophonist and multimedia artist who draws her creative inspiration from the captivating intersections of science, nature, and personal introspection. Her immersive performances are a fusion of classical contemporary repertoire, original compositions, and cross-media interplay which culminate in a dynamic reflection of her unique artistic identity.
