Join us for an inspiring evening of Women in Music, featuring cellist Hannah Kolos
Our Women in Music concerts celebrate the incredible contributions of women to the world of music, with a special emphasis on Australian music.
Biography
Hannah Kolos began playing the cello the age of 4 and has since studied with prestigious teachers such as Frances Firth, Takao Mizushima, Teije Hylkema and Julian Smiles.
Hannah is a passionate performer and has successfully achieved her Licentiate Diploma (LMusA), Associate Diploma with Distinction (AMusA) and Certificate of Performance (CMus) as well as receiving the Young Achievers award for outstanding achievement in Arts and Culture.
She was also given the opportunity to participate in workshops where she has performed nationally and internationally in America. She has been given opportunities to perform with the Orpheus String Orchestra as a soloist and participated in the Australian Youth orchestral programs as well as the “Australian All schools music festival” where she held the position of associate principle cellist. Hannah has been given the opportunity to have masterclasses with many cellists around Australia as well as in the United States.
Hannah has a strong devotion to teaching and communicating with each individual student to find methods on learning best suited for them.
