Our Women in Music concerts celebrate the incredible contributions of women to the world of music, with a special emphasis on emerging Australian artists.

Julia An is an emerging collaborative pianist currently completing her Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Studying under Dr Theresa Leung and Dr Eun-Jung Byun, Julia regularly performs across the Conservatorium's voice and instrumental departments and has collaborated with leading Australian musicians, including Barry Ryan OAM and Alexandra Osborne, Associate Concertmaster of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. She is also building a promising career as an opera répétiteur, with recent engagements including Verdi's Nabucco with Cooperative Opera. A recipient of the Henderson Travellers Scholarship, Julia recently undertook advanced studies at Rocky Ridge Music's College Intensive Program in Colorado, USA.

Joining Julia is emerging soprano Izabelle Zammit, currently in her third year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the guidance of Dr David Greco. Izabelle is the recipient of the prestigious Taryn Fiebig Scholarship with Pinchgut Opera for the 2026–2027 season. She made her operatic debut in 2025 as Parrwang in Deborah Cheetham Fraillon AO's Parrwang Lifts the Sky and has since performed as a soloist in works by Haydn, Vivaldi and Mozart. Her artistry has been further developed through masterclasses with internationally acclaimed artists, and she is a regular performer at Conservatorium concerts and community events.

Together, Julia and Izabelle will present an evening of captivating vocal and piano repertoire, showcasing the talent, artistry and bright future of two outstanding young Australian musicians.
