Our Women in Music concerts celebrate the incredible contributions of women to the world of music, with a special emphasis on Australian music.

Biography

Quart-Ed was founded in 2017 during our studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, as a playground for us to create interactive educational performances with our developing skills in performing, creating and teaching. Through our work we explore all sorts of music with our amazingly versatile instruments: popular, jazz, folk and Australian contemporary works as well as art music. We particularly prioritise collaborating with living Australian composers, and are guided by the principle of "pluralism" to consciously reflect the diversity of audiences and music makers. Having performed with The Women’s Club in 2021, we are keen to be back for more! Since then, we have created and collaborated on several new works, and are eager to share a fresh, thoughtful program to the Women’s Club, featuring pieces by Australian women in a variety of styles.
